OperImonc
What is OperImonc?
An Imonc is a client-program for the Imond-service of a fli4l router. It displays
status data and also enables remote controlling of the router by the clients (e.g. opening or closing an online connection,
but also to shutdown or reboot the router).
OperImonc is an Imonc which is created as Java applet. The dimensions of this applet are optimized for the panels of an
Opera browser (therefore the name), to be more detailed: its width is 200 pixels which is a little less than the default
panel width on usual screen resolutions. The idea for the development of OperImonc came from my wish to have the
control of my fli4l router integrated into my browser for an easier handling.
Here you can see a screenshot of version 0.1.3 in Opera 9.0 on Windows XP:
Current development status
The current status: Version 0.1.3 is out (available in my Download-section). I regularly use it myself (as well as I did with the public and non-public previous versions). The features of the current version:
- UI with tab-controls dependent on whether the fli4l is used for DSL, ISDN or both (in the screenshot: DSL only)
- User- and Admin-modes dependent on fli4l-configuration and authentification
- DSL and ISDN tab: Display information about status (Offline, Connecting, Online), current online-time and complete online-time since the last bootup (updated every 2 seconds)
- DSL and ISDN tab: Display the complete transfer volume of the current connection
- DSL and ISDN tab: Display the fli4l's online IP address and the current traffic
- DSL and ISDN tab: Opening/closing of the connection currently selected in the System tab
- ISDN tab: Adding/removing of the second channel (channel bundling)
- System tab: Shutdown and reboot of the fli4l
- System tab: Selection of circuit to dial for outgoing connection
- System tab: Possibility of activation of Admin-mode when client is in User-mode
- System tab: Display the router's current cpu load
- System tab: Display the router's current uptime
Bugfixes:
- In 0.1.2: Removed timezone-dependent offset in the displayed uptime
- In 0.1.1: Applet now stops after sending "halt" or "reboot" commands to the fli4l
